You’re welcome!!! I noticed that tumblr was seriously lacking that Avonlea charm, so I had to create a blog :)

“I don’t want diamond sunbursts, or marble halls. I just want you.”
“How nice to have someone meet you at the end of a journey!” she cried, as she stepped off the train at Glen St. Mary into Gilbert’s waiting arms. She could never be sure Gilbert would meet her … somebody was always dying or being born … but no homecoming ever seemed just right to Anne unless he did. And he had on such a nice new light-grey suit! (How glad I am I put on this frilly eggshell blouse with my brown suit, even if Mrs. Lynde thought I was crazy to wear it travelling. If I hadn’t I wouldn’t have looked so nice for Gilbert.)

Thank you! So far I have not come across a recording or a download. They do have various clips on youtube but that is all I’ve seen. If I do find something I will definitely post it!
Thanks for the question! I was definitely a little disappointed with the 3rd movie. I really didn’t like how they changed the entire timeline, Anne and Gil were middle aged with 6 kids in the book during the war. I also was disappointed that they cut the fact that Anne went to Redmond and got a BA. One of the things I love about Anne in the books is that she pursues her education even though it was so uncommon for women at the time.
It is true that the books are somewhat episodic in nature so I can understand why Kevin Sullivan changed the story to make a film with a more solid storyline but he could have done it differently. If I could write the 3rd movie it would be a mixture of Anne of the Island and Anne’s house of Dreams. I really wanted to see Anne and Gil as newlyweds and parents. There was too much separation in the 3rd movie.
Although there were disappointments, I really did enjoy the film itself. It brought us back to Avonlea, briefly, and it reunited Megan and Jonathan. That alone was worth it for me :) The Anne/Gil moments were priceless and beautiful. You really got into the story and were so happy when they find each other in the end.
All in all I am glad they made it, it gave us some great moments, reunited the cast and created some sweet Anne/Gil scenes. And if we really want to find out what happened to Anne and Gil, we always have the books :)
