I’m going to display the hopeless romantic side of myself that I usually keep firmly under wraps and say ‘Anne of the Island’ because it’s the one where Gilbert and Anne finally realise they love each other. In addition, it has Patty’s Place (where I want to go live, please) and Phil.
MINE TOO! Anne of the Island is my favourite book of the series. I could read it over and over again

Gilbert Blythe was trying to make Anne Shirley look at him and failing utterly….she should look at him, that redhaired Shirley girl with the pointed chin and the big eyes that weren’t like the eyes of any other girl in Avonlea school.
